Ahmad Awwad is a true testimony of how ambition, persistence and devotion can change the life of any regular person.
Ahmad was encouraged to join the hospitality industry after much support from his family who loved his smile and believed in his ability to excel in the field. The Grand Hyatt Amman welcomed Ahmad in the year 2000 as a waiter at the famous Vietnamese Indocine Restaurant where he worked diligently for years until he became the Outlet Manager at the Hotel.
In an interview with Ahmad he says “I can sum up the secret behind the success of every person working in the hospitality industry in three words; loyalty, team work and patience”.
Ahmad continues to add that the Management at the Hotel, the Hotel Owners and the diverse experience within the hotel has played an important role in building up his self-esteem and self-confidence which made him build a lifelong career there. He specifically mentions his role model Ms. Lina Annab who has shown all the staff the true meaning of modesty and kindness. He continues to add that he aspires to become like her one day.
“If I were to compare my work to a song, it would be “Ahlan Wa Sahlan to our dear ones”. If I were to compare my work to a personality, it would be H.E. Senator Akel Biltaji”.
