The Mövenpick Resort & Residence Aqaba is the first hotel in the Middle East to be certified by the International and National Green Key Eco-Rating Programme.
Green Key is an eco-label for tourism facilities that aims to contribute to sustainable tourism by awarding the promoting good initiatives. The Green Key aims to change the practices and behaviours of tourism actors including enterprises, authorities, guest and local communities and to involve them in taking responsibility for their own environment.
Introducing the Green Key Programme at Mövenpick Resort and Residence Aqaba is Another step for the Hotel to support sustainable development and environmental efforts in the region.
Official launching of the Green Key Certificate and Flag will take place at a later stage.
