With the presence of the British Ambassador to Jordan H.E Mr. Peter Millett, Jabal Amman publishers, in cooperation with InterContinental Jordan, organized a cocktail reception & recital by Tarek Younis for the launch of “Colours of Jordan” exhibition by Peter Lawrence, held on Wednesday June 22, 2011.
Of British origin, Peter Lawrence has spent most of his working career in the Middle East and is a water & environmental engineer who has a passionate interest in water colours.
“Colours of Jordan” exhibition reflects Peter Lawrence’s impressions of Jordan; the pictures vary from historic sites & landscape to the flora, fauna & people of the great land.
The exhibition will remain at the InterContinental Jordan lobby until Wednesday July 6. 10% of the exhibition proceeds will be donated to the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN). Proceeds from the sale of Lawrence’s original work, Nature’s Doorway, will be donated entirety to Dozan wa Awtar for its work on bridging cultures with music.
