InterContinental Jordan Hotel celebrates Responsible Business Week in partnership with the National Geographic Center for Sustainable Destinations
Building on the success of last year’s Responsible Business Day, InterContinental Hotel extended the event to a week in which the team participated in initiatives to support the social cause.
During October, InterContinental team members visited “Tal Al Rumman” public school, where a general maintenance for the school took place by the team members & their families. The activities included painting classrooms, installing fans, landscaping & cleaning playgrounds.As part of the responsible business week activities, InterContinental Jordan, in partnership with the Royal Botanic Society, organised a cleanup day that took place at “King Talal” Dam in the hills of northern Jordan. Also, in Cooperation with “Family Kitchen”, InterContinental Hotel raised social awareness by saving untouched and high quality food, left over from weddings and banquets, and distributing it to the less unfortunate at Al Baqaa’a Camp.
In line with the Responsible Business week initiatives, InterContinental Jordan was awarded the Green Key Award for fulfilling criteria focused on environmental management, technical demands, and the involvement of guests, staff, and suppliers.
